An Open House teaser-----boxes and shelves full of Christmas goodies we'll be bringing out of the back room for the big day!  Our Christmas Open House is next Sunday, October 27 from 11:00 till 6:00.  Don't forget we will be closed Friday and Saturday to finish all our last minute preparations.  See you there!

Portobello Road

Thanks to everyone who attended our Portobello Road Market yesterday.......a great time was had by all!  Here are some pictures of the antique items presented, as well as the shop decked out for Fall.  The antiques will remain through Sept. 7, so if you missed the event Saturday, you still have time to check out this fabulous vintage collection.  See you soon!

Previewing Portobello Road

 In less than two weeks, we will be hosting our Portobello Road Market --- on Saturday, August 17.  While our spring (Paris Flea) Market celebrates the French look, the fall event definitely brings an English flavor to our store.  And most appropriately during the fall season-----for the English look is nothing if not cozy!  Just look at the English-style rooms here, and you'll see that the things they have in common are cozy clutter, a mix of lovely fabrics, and books, books, books!  As we relate to their cool, damp weather this August (!), we see that they use their homes as a warm retreat to snuggle in and read a good book.

Along with the antiques consigned by our five favorite dealers, our Portobello Road Market is also the debut of all of our new Fall merchandise recently selected at the Atlanta Market.  The store will open at 9 a.m. on that Saturday to give you an early start on your shopping.  And of course there will be English-inspired treats in the morning, and wine and cheese from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. ( We will close at noon on Friday, August 16 to put on all the finishing touches.)  Plan now to join us Saturday, August 17 for this very special event!  Here are several rooms done in that remarkable English style to inspire you and get you in the mood for our upcoming event.
